Journey into the shadows of Philippine folklore in this atmospheric first-person horror game that blends with "Batang 90s" childhood nostalgia.
A walking-simulator game set in town where my mother was born, Negros Occidental. A rural province of the Philippines. you'll navigate dimly lit neighborhoods with eerie corn fields while something sinister lurks in the darkness.
The game portray my experience when I used to live with my grandma back in the province in 2002.

Patintero brings back childhood vibes, pero nahimong unsettling. The province setting feels real, makahadlok kaayo. Simple pero strong ang atmosphere. Took me 1 hour to find the Bagua 😂 Solid short horror game. Dev, padayon ani nga style.

One of my friends recommended this game to me. I saw their message right after I woke up and decided to play it live on my Twitch stream. Overall, it’s definitely a solid horror experience and I had a great time playing it.
Here are some minor issues I encountered during my playthrough:
The audio in the opening scene is too low, the background music is louder than the voice-over.
I couldn’t see my cursor in the main menu and pause menu (this might just be on my end, not 100% sure).
The enemy hitbox feels too large.
The objective involving the candle could be clearer.
The killer occasionally gets stuck in place in the cemetery (rare occurrence).
The enemy AI’s raycast/vision seems to detect the player a bit too quickly.
The battery UI appears to be bugged or misaligned.
Despite these minor issues, it’s a pretty good game and I highly recommend giving it a try.
I’d rate it 7.7 out of 10 candles. 🕯️

I'm going to improve this game for the next update. I wrote these down in my notes.
I'm having trouble balancing the sound because I'm just using a small speaker and an earphone. Never been tested this game on larger screens (I'm using 1080p), so maybe that is the issue for UI and the cursor.
